Every once in awhile an intriguing book crops up that is worth noting.  In this case I recently read Seeds of Turmoil: The Biblical Roots of the Inevitable Crisis in the Middle East.  Written by Bryant Wright, this book examines the conflicts in the Middle East from a biblical perspective.

Nothing entirely new in his presentation, but it does bring together many of the familiar stories and passages to create a tapestry of past, present, and future events.  With a blend of conjecture and some dry humor, the author displays his personal ideas in a very readable fashion.  Not that I agree entirely with every detail or conjecture, I would recommend this book as a welcome addition to any Christian's personal library.
